The missing hours: people who returned saying they had been inside a non human craft

These accounts come from different countries and periods. Several share recurring elements: an approaching light, loss of control, missing time, examinations and lingering marks. A journey through Antônio Villas Boas, Robert Taylor, Yury Isakov, Deep Prasad, John Mack's work and the objects Roger Leir removed from human bodies.

Two accounts at the heart of the phenomenon

An abduction account broadcast by ABC News

Four hours vanished in a Brazilian field

On the night of October 16, 1957, 23 year old Antônio Villas Boas was working his family's field near São Francisco de Sales. He said a red light descended and an egg shaped craft landed on three legs. Short figures in suits seized him after his tractor failed and took him inside, where he underwent examinations and exposure to a substance that made him ill. When he returned, roughly four hours had passed. He told the story before the Hill case made the modern abduction pattern famous and maintained it throughout his life.

Torn trousers and marks in a Scottish forest

On November 9, 1979, forestry worker Robert Taylor entered Dechmont Woods near Livingston. He described a dark spherical body hovering in a clearing and two smaller spiked objects that caught his trousers and dragged him forward. He lost consciousness and returned home muddy, injured and with torn clothing. Police accompanied him back to the site, recorded marks in the ground and treated the event as a reported assault. Its unusual weight comes from the fact that a real scene was examined immediately.

Yury went to the mailbox and awoke on a football field

In Israel, Yury Isakov said he left his Nazareth Illit home at 19:55 to check the mail. A light appeared above him and he remembered being pulled into a craft and examined by beings whose speech sounded like a phonograph needle. He awoke at 23:00 on a football field hundreds of metres away. Marks described as burns appeared on his arm and neck, and a yellowish powder was reportedly found on his body. His television interview preserves his own voice and sequence of events.

Deep Prasad described three beings in his room

Deep Prasad, an entrepreneur in quantum computing, told George Knapp about an experience in his room in which he said three beings appeared. He described paralysis, direct communication and rapidly presented information. This is his account of an adult experience; it includes no recording of a physical journey from the room into a craft.

John Mack listened after ridicule had begun

John Mack entered the subject as a senior Harvard Medical School psychiatrist and Pulitzer Prize winner. Over many years he interviewed more than one hundred people who described encounters and abductions. Many functioned normally and did not fit, in his assessment, a simple explanation of mental illness. He was struck by both the trauma and the transformation that followed: concern for nature, anxiety over humanity's future and a changed sense of reality.

The objects Roger Leir removed from beneath the skin

Surgeon Roger Leir examined people who said a small object had remained in their bodies after an encounter. His documented operations removed tiny bodies surrounded by tissue and, he reported, without the rejection response expected around an ordinary foreign object. Some samples underwent microscopy and compositional testing. Leir reported unusual metals, isotope ratios and radio emissions. Those claims carry a clear next requirement: full laboratory records, chain of custody and samples available for independent replication.

The pattern that keeps returning

The witnesses do not all describe the same beings or even a visible craft. What repeats is loss of control, missing time, a clinical or testing environment, communication unlike ordinary speech and a sense that the encounter continued to shape life afterward. Similarity does not turn many stories into one proof, but it does create a human phenomenon too persistent to dismiss with a joke or a diagnosis delivered from a distance.

Return to one testimony

These cases contain different kinds of material: personal interviews, investigation records, photographs of marks and claims about objects removed from bodies. Similarities between accounts cannot establish one event or a common mechanism. Yury Isakov's linked filmed testimony provides one starting point for checking the times, locations and marks he described himself.

Sources and context

Editorial clarification ·
The blanket statement that the witnesses did not know one another has been removed. The collected sources document accounts from different countries and periods, but do not establish the independence of every account.

The record includes detailed filmed testimony, medical notes in some cases, a police investigation in Robert Taylor's case, photographs of injuries and objects removed during surgery. John Mack spent years interviewing more than one hundred people who reported experiences of this kind.

The sources presented here do not provide a single case combining uninterrupted footage, sensor data, a sample with a complete chain of custody and independent replication. Each testimony and physical claim must therefore be weighed on its own record.
