Commitment and target

Alien News works to improve accessibility and targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA, alongside applicable Israeli Standard 5568 requirements. This is a conformance target. A complete live assessment across assistive technologies and browsers has not yet been completed, so the site does not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

Adjustments implemented

• Declared page language and correct reading direction
• Semantic structure and heading hierarchy
• Skip link to main content
• Basic keyboard access and visible focus indicators
• Visible labels on contact form fields
• Support for text zoom and reduced-motion preferences
• Text alternatives for content images and illustration labels
• Support for browser and device text enlargement up to 200 percent
• Article read-aloud through the device's built-in speech engine, with pause and stop controls

Known limitations

Links, players and content provided by X, TikTok and YouTube depend on those services' accessibility. Older videos may lack complete captions or transcripts. External sources can change or become unavailable outside Alien News's control. Comprehensive keyboard and screen-reader testing remains in progress.
