Its low resolution does not establish the object's shape or origin. ## The camera turns, the star stays aligned The clip is dominated by noise and rapid camera movement. A bright source appears with a dark centre and six prominent points, followed by a diffuse bright area that can resemble a thermal plume. The points remain broadly aligned with the display as the view changes. That is interesting, but it is also a warning: a pattern tied to the sensor axes can be created by optics, processing or a camera cover rather than by the geometry of an object outside. ## What Flash actually wrote Beskrestnov uploaded the footage to Telegram on May 11, 2026, saying that military personnel had begun sending him videos after an earlier post. His short caption gave May 2025 and 800 metres. It did not specify whether the number was the drone's altitude, the object's altitude or another estimate. Ukrainian reporting placed the clip at the front, but the unit, operator, location and chain of custody were not disclosed. ## Who published the video Beskrestnov, known in Ukraine as Flash, works on communications, drones and electronic warfare. He published the clip and describes how it reached him, but is not identified as the sensor operator who recorded it. ## The 2023 post and the call one hour later In the preceding Telegram post, Flash said he had published another frontline video in 2023 showing aerial reconnaissance observing an unidentified object. He claimed representatives of a government body that had handled the subject since Soviet times contacted him about an hour later. No agency name, call record or independent documentation has been released, so this remains his account of the exchange. ## The document Beskrestnov describes Beskrestnov wrote that wartime study of unidentified objects had become a military task and that the armed forces had a document approved by the commander in chief. The document was not published, preventing examination of its procedures or whether they were applied to this recording. ## Six points do not mean six engines The public copy is a compressed video of 608 by 480 pixels, not a direct sensor source file. Compression, enlargement and noise can affect outlines. Without the camera model, data and operator testimony, the six points cannot be established as the object's physical shape. Continued scanning also does not reveal what the operator thought it was. ## Four things that could turn a clip into evidence Beskrestnov's original channel post supplies the date and altitude given to him but does not explain how the altitude was measured. The original sensor recording, camera data and observation location would allow those details to be tested. ## Sources and context Beskrestnov's original Telegram post says military personnel sent him the video, identifies May 2025 and gives an altitude of 800 metres. The fuller copy runs for about one minute and 28 seconds and shows a bright, star like source while the observation system scans the ground. In a separate post he said Ukraine's armed forces have a detailed document on unidentified objects approved by the Commander in Chief. The raw recording, sensor and platform model, time, location, range, radar data and an identified operator account have not been released. The claimed military document is also not public. The stated altitude cannot be independently checked, and it is unclear whether it describes the camera platform or the target. A balloon, infrared decoy, optical or sensor artefact, ordinary object and manipulation remain among the open possibilities.
